What is Othered Productions?
Supporting those that feel Othered in society.
Othered Productions has two major focuses for content.
The first focus is telling entertaining stories that feature the outcasts of society--those that feel othered and not quite a part of what's deemed "normal." While a large part of our current focus is the disabled community, we welcome stories from anyone that highlights being misunderstood or separated from normal society. This can include, but are hardly limited to, anything from queer and POC stories to those with unique life experiences such as growing up in foster care. The idea is to humanize us all and show the universality of feeling different or left out while providing quality, entertaining media.
The second focus is non-narrative projects that have a social impact on this same group of individuals. This includes PSAs, educational videos, and documentaries that either support or showcase those othered in our society. These items serve more as calls to action and spreading more direct awareness about important social issues for those often overlooked.
We have a passion for making sure we have authentic representation both in front and behind the camera and are actively looking for more projects to begin development on, so if you feel you have a project that may fit, please reach out!

Carissa Goble
Carissa Goble was destined to become a filmmaker from her first job working concessions at a local theater just so she could see unlimited films. Her love of horror and appreciation for the craft lead her to get an Associates degree in makeup effects from the Tom Savini Makeup Effects Program. Her love of writing further pushed her to get her Bachelors in English literature from Grand Canyon University, but she's a life long learning happily continuing to take courses that benefit her writing and producing ambitions from acting courses to understand their perspective to scheduling and budgeting courses at Glendale Community College, she never stops pushing herself to learn more so she can work with all departments seamlessly. Choosey with her creative products, Carissa also owns her own business that consults with local group homes to ensure that they are meeting state regulations to support the developmentally disabled members that live there and aren't abusing or neglecting them. The work has brought meaning to her life and continues to impact her writing and mission through film as she celebrates being a part of the Arizona Film Community.

Eamonn Cogan
After seeing Jurassic Park 26 times in the theater at the age of five, Eamonn Cogan knew he had to make movies. He graduated from Drake University’s School of Journalism & Mass Communication. He applied his love for film to his senior thesis project, BEYOND THE BLUE LINE, a short Documentary on which he was a Producer and Lead Videographer. It went on to win 2 Silver Communicators, a Bronze Telly, and the Upper Midwest Regional Student Award of Excellence from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. After Drake, he began writing and directing. His second short film, THE RULES OF LUCK, was invited to screen as part of the HollyShorts Screening Series at the TCL Chinese Theatre. Eamonn’s screenplays have done well in competition, including a Finalist, two semifinalists at the Austin Film Festival, a finalist, and three semifinalists in the Page Awards.
